I was given 8 months worth of samples from my Doctor of Estrostep. The problem is.. I just realized that they are all due to expire April of 05.. And I definately wont have taken them all by April.. SO are the ones that have a date on them for April 05 still good to use a few months after?
Thats what I was thinking.. But my mom told me it should be ok, and to call the pharmacist or my Doctor to make sure... I Just thought maybe someone would know... thanks!
There have been some good studies to show that, in general, medicines are good for at least two years past the expiration date. The choice of the expiration date has nothing to do with the life of the product. Companies do it for marketing and inventory control.
On the other hand, the consumer has to decide her tolerance for risk.
