Cramping...is this normal? - Birth Control Message Board

I started Kariva (generic Mircette) on Sunday, and my period was done yesterday (monday). I take it at 4:30pm. When I woke up this morning, I had cramps, the kind you might get a few days before your period. Is this normal? Maybe it's just my body adjusting to the hormones?

I think that it is your body adjusting to the pill. It could also be just some left over period cramps. It often takes three months for your body to adjust to the pill, I wouldn't worry about the cramping....this happend to me also when I started taking the pill. Take care!

Gotta agree that it's just your body adjusting to the hormones. You'll probably have some other side effects within the first 3 months of taking the pill.

thanks for the feedback! I was getting a little nervous, but so far Kariva has been great, so I can deal with a little cramping!

i have the same problem and i am taking seasonale i have breakthough bleeding with cramps its getting to me and i want it to stop
