Low dose pills - Birth Control Message Board

I have heard so much that if you take a pill with only 20mcg, you won't get the side effects. Do you guys think that's true? I stopped the pill b/c I thought it might be causing anxiety and dizziness, but now I just feel worse and I think I'll start them again b/c the pharmacist told me that those aren't side effects from the low dose pill. Thanks

You can still get side effects from the 20 mcgm pills. The 20 mcgm pills include Alesse, Mircette, Levlite, and Loestrin and the Ortho Evra Patch is also 20 mcgm. If you look on the board history there are many users who have had side effects from these various pills.

The lower dose pills are supposed to give you less side effects than the higher dose ones. They should cut down a bit on depression or anxiety and moodniess and irritability. But, this doesn't mean it will be non-existant.
