Early Period with Ortho Evra - Birth Control Message Board

I just started Ortho Evra last month. When I took off the third patch, I started my period the same day, and it lasted for about 5-6 days. I was a week early, but my doctor's office seemed to think it was just breakthrough bleeding (but, we all know when it's our period, don't we?)

So, I started my new prescription patch last week and I was supposed to start my period 2 days ago, but haven't started. Is this normal to have an early period and skip the regular one?

When first starting its normal to have break through bleeding or to have your periods be a little weird. Give ti a couple months and things should become normal if not then you should talk to your doc about it and perhaps try another form of bc. Take care!
