Late period on birth control... worried - Birth Control Message Board

Hi I have been using Nuva Ring for 5 months and my period comes exactly 3 days after I take it out every time. Well I expected my period yesterday and it hasn't come yet. Should I be worried or can your period be late when using birth control?

I am not very familiar with NuvaRing because I've always taken birth control pills. I do know that with birth control pills it is normal for your period to come a few days early or late on the 4th week. I'd give yourself a couple of days but if you're really worried try a pregnancy test.

Have you had any PMS symptoms or anything that would indicate your period is coming soon? I'm sure it will, hang in there

Nope no symptoms at all of pregnancy. With my son (11 months old) I had symptoms a week after conception! So hopefully it will come. I just got back from Thailand so maybe the trip threw it off.
