Question IUD and recent delivery
Can you get an IUD immediately after giving birth? Has anyone had one?

You have to wait until the uterus has returned to normal size (so that it can hold the IUD), which takes about 6-8 weeks.

U have to wait 4-6 weeks after delivery. I'm 17, and the MIRENA put in at my 6 week check up. Ive had it a little over a year so far and its the best bc ive ever had. No side effects, no period, no weight gain. its great!
