DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A BIRTH CONTROL PILL CALLED CAMILLA, APPARENTLY IT IS ALSO USED FOR HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY. BUT I WANT TO KNOW IF IT CAN STILL BE USED EVEN THOUGH IT IS USED FOR HRT ....IF SO, DOES IT MAKE IT ANY LESS SAFE THAN A BITRH CONTROL PLL NOT USED TO CONTROL MENOPAUSE.
It is a progestin only pill, my doc prescribed it for me. I decided not to take it, but it is bc. Not as effective as a combo pill, and it has to be taken at the exact same time every day for its effectiveness. Also, if you miss a pill, or go 3 hrs past your pill time, you have to use backup for the entire cycle.
Also, read your side effects. Breakthrough bleeding is much more common with this pill, as well as facial hair growth and weight gain.
oh wow thanks, that really helped. I was just really freaked out by the fact that not much people even knew about it and i had a hard time finding much info on it. I haven't started taking it but what i would like to know is why you decided not to take it
