Alesse and fatigue

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl 1 year ago and after I stopped breastfeeding I began taking Ortho Tri-cyclen, the same birth control I was taking before I was pregnant. After a few months of this it was making me sick all the time. So I went to see my Dr., who just happened to be sick that day so I saw another Dr. and he perscribed me Alesse instead. And now I seem to be sooo tired all the time. I just don't feel well at all since I started taking them. When I was pregnant I had really high blood pressure, and Eclampsia. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. And for months afterwards I still had high b/p. Has anyone else had this experience with alesse??

Birth control can cause fatigue because it depletes the body's B6.

Look for a good multi-vitamin with plenty of B6 in it-- see if taking it over a few weeks seems to help.

Re: Alesse and fatigue

Thanks for the info! I've never heard that before. I usually take only iron vitamins ( borderline anemic), but I'm going to try switching to a multi-vitamin. I'll try just about anything right now, I'm soo tired!!
