Bleeding while on the pill - Birth Control Message Board

I am in my first month of taking the pill. My 3rd week to be exact. For the past week I have been spotting very lightly. Is this normal?

yea this can happen untill your body adjusts to the pill! my doctor told me it takes about 3 months then there should be no breakthrough bleeding! Hope this helps

Ive been on my pill for quite a while and seem to get breakthru periods! Why do u think that is.

Like im due to take my last pill on sunday so should have my period next week, but i think it came last week, although very light!

that happened to me when i was on microlite but then my doc changed me to yasmin because the dose was too low. yasmin has a higher dose so i dont get breakthrough bleeding! it doesnt effect contraception
