Having problems w/ Othro Evra Patch - Birth Control Message Board

I have recently started the patch. A week ago I started my period and put the patch on March 17 and got of March 25. March 30 I start to bleed real heavy and I'm cramping as if I'm on my period and I'm a still bleeding and I can't get in touch with my doctor. Is there any advice for me?

i'm on estrostep & i've been having the crazy bleeding & cramping as well. my dr says its just breakthrough bleeding & to finish my 1st 3 months...easy for her to say. i guess it takes some time to adjust. i'm getting very fed up though so yesterday she said that she will switch me to something else next month if i want. so for you, its probably nothing to worry about. you might want to switch to a different prescription but your dr will probably tell you to hang in there for a while...
