postponing period - Birth Control Message Board

I need someone to answer this asap. I havent been on BC for about a year. I have some packs of pills left that are still good. I am going away on the 19th and expecting my period on thw 20th. I get real bad headaches when I have my period so I was wondering if I start a pack of pills today the 8th even though I had my period 2 weeks ago will my period get pushed back a week so that I wont have it while Im gone. I just want it postponed not stopped. Thanks Christina

There is no guarantee as to what will happen. You may end up spotting the entire time, and well beyond your scheduled period.
