i don't know why.. - Birth Control Message Board

Okay.. this is my first time posting anything on here. I started taking birth control in January and my periods are normal and at the same time every month. This month I had my period for 4 days and then it stopped (i had sex the day i got my period if that makes a difference or not.. im not sure), but it came back a day later. I keep thinking that it's gone away, but I still have a redish brown discharge like it's the end of my period. It's been a couple of days and it's bothering me because I don't know why it's not going away. If anybody can clue me in on any reasons why this could be happening I'd appreciate it. Sounds like spotting, and it's a normal side effect. The spotting should abside after you finish this cycle. If not, let your prescriber know. You may require a stronger pill.

Thanks for the help, if it doesn't stop I'm calling my doctor.
