I have been on the pill for two years now, I am taking Levlen right now and I have absolutely no sex drive. I don't even want my husband to touch me sometimes. I have heard that being on the same brand for a while will do that. I have always had a very healthy sex drive and now...Also, has anyone else experienced depression from being on the pill?

Depression and loss of libido are both very common side effects of the pill. Generally side effects like loss of libido show up earlier on, but can sometimes take longer to appear.

You could try switching pills, to one with a bit less hormone to lessen the depression since loss of libido can also be a side effect of depression.

When I took Desogen, my sex drive was dead from the beginning. Then I went off it and it came back immediately. As for the depression, on Estrostep I was depressed the week before my period every month like clockwork. Right now I'm on Ovcon-35 for the second time. I remember the first time I was on it (four months), I started to get depressed after the first month. It never went away so I got off of them. However, now that I'm back on them again (five months so far), I don't have the depression. It's never affected my sex drive except when I was depressed. It's been a good pill for me.
