I just started my birth control on Wednesday, and I'm also on my period. Is it safe to have unprotected sex while you're on your period and on bc?

you need to have been on the pill for 2 weeks before it is effective.
you should use a condom in this case.

As far as I can remember I thought a woman could not get pregnant while she is on her period?

all pills ive seen along with the patch and nuvaring say you need to be on it 7 days before it works. not two weeks.

Laomy is right. And if you start the pill on the first day of your period, you are fully protected immediately.
