I'm on the pill and I don't smoke, but my whole family does. Whenever I pass through teh garage or do laundry in there i inhale the 2nd hand smoke. I know smoke\ing affects the strength of the pill, but does small amounts of 2nd hand smoke have a big difference? I don't hang with them when they're smoking, so I think I'll be fine. Anyone wanna confirm that?

its not that smoking affects the strength of the pill but that smoking while on the pill increases your chance of blood clots & stroke. 2nd hand smoke, although unhealthy to breathe in, wont make your pill less effective.

Yep it won't make the pill less effective. My neurologist did warn me that being around second hand smoke a lot could increase my risk of a stroke while I'm on the pill since I have migraines.
