| Re: which type is better?
It depends on the woman. For some, the varying levels of hormones in triphasic pills give them the least amount of side effects, whereas for others, the same level of hormone throughout the month that is in monophasic pills suits their needs better.
Talk to your doctor and tell her you want to try a monophasic pill, since you feel the estrostep is not working for you. He or she may tell you to wait until you've taken the fourth pack, however, as it generally takes at LEAST three months (three full packs) on the pill before your body is totally adjusted to it. The nausea generally subsides after the third month, but if it is really bothering you, tell your doctor WHY you want to switch, exactly what your side effects are, and ask them which pill they recommend for you.
