I started on Yasmin (oral contraceptive) 8 days ago today -- on the first day of my period. My period normally lasts about 5 days, sometimes 4 but very often more than 5. I'm still on my period today, though, and I'm getting concerned. Am I having a negative reaction to the birth control? Any help would be appreciated.

Very normal. Give your body 3 months to adjust.

i had the same thing happen to me on ovcon. my period lasted 8 days then went away for a few and came back lighter for like another week or so...finally after having a regular period on the inactive pills it seems like my body has adjusted...so yeah i know what u mean cuz it happened to me too!
