Estrostep FE - Birth Control Message Board

I just started this pill. I just started my 2nd week of the first month. I have been lightly spotting with occasional btb. Is this normal. Am I ok? I have also been having a backache. Is there something I can take for the discomfort?

My gyno is hoping to control the spotting I have been having. I was on Ovcon for 3 months and I spotted through that so she put me on this pill.

My first 2 months of Estrostep I spotted as well. I'm on my 3rd pack and so far no spotting...which I think I'm out of the clear because by now I usually was spotting. So you can just wait it out and see how you are a couple of months from now. I'm actually about to switch off it because I keep getting really nausiated. Good luck.

I've been on estrostep for almost 8 months now and i've never had breakthrough bleeding but pills affect each person differently. If it continues for a longer time it might be a good idea to have your gyno switch you to a different pill, sometimes it is just a matter of finding the right one for you.

hi...i was on estrostep for 4 months & each month i started bleeding on day 8 of the pack (lasting an average or 6-10 days). the 4th month it lasted 10 days so my gyn switched me to ovcon-35 this month. i started bleeding on day 9 & its still going strong today (5 days later). i guess it takes longer for some of us to adjust. i'm wondering if a different pill might be better though since both estrostep & ovcon have the same hormones - just different strengths through the month. i dont know...just a thought....

I have been wondering that too. I was just trying to trust my gyn. I know I'm only in my first month, but I really want it to work. I'm so tired of bleeding. It kinda puts a strain on a marriage plus not to mention your sanity. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
