Tri Levlen Questions - Birth Control Message Board

I have been on Tri Levlen (i believe it is the generic form of Tri Cyclin) for almost 4 years. My acne has been pretty bad the whole time. I am thinking of going off the pill now to see if it will help me at all. Has anyone been on this pill? Are there many side effects of going off it? Does your acne tend to get worse when you stop? I just have no idea what else to do, and I think stopping might help. I just want some other opinions!

have you talked to your gyn about this? switching to another pill might help. i too have acne & my derm suggested going on yasmin. but my gyn put me on estrostep...didnt see any improvement...then i switched to ovcon-35 last month because of problems with breakthrough bleeding. my skin has cleared up a lot but i'm not sure if thats the ovcon or the lemon juice i've been drinking (read about it on the acne board....i recommend trying it!).

Thank you for the info! What is this with drinking lemon juice? How much and how often are you supposed to do this? I have never heard of that, but I would be willing to try it for sure!

i juice 1/2 of a lemon every morning & add water to fill the glass...drink it & thats it. my skin started to clear in like 3 days. give it a shot...definitely worth a try...
