wow, i just went into the pharmacy to pick up some ovcon-35 because im almost done with the 3 month samples my doctor gave me and the price was 45 dollars! i didnt get it cuz i still have about a week and a half to figure out what to do...
is there any generic ovcon or anything? cuz i really liked the pill, i havent gained weight or anything and have heard good things about it so id like to stay with it but 45 dollars!!
i thought i read someone else only payin 9 dollars a month so that was what i was expecting...i have blue cross blue shield insurance and caremark for prescriptions...

There isn't a generic for ovcon, I've asked the pharmacist before. I think that something called Brevicon is supposed to be similar, though? I don't know about the cost, though. Good luck!

i had a job where i had blue cross and my b/c cost 15! I no longer have insurance and have to buy my pills without. Honestly 45 isnt much for a month of pills so help you NOT get pregnant.

im taking seasonale and the last pack I bought was 125!!! granted that's for 3 months it's still a lot of money all at once!

you can try to ask your doctor to give u a prescription of a pill with the same 2 hormones but, from a different pill manufacturer... the dose may be different but not by much.

I was prescribed Loestrin 1/20 (same manufacturer as ovcon-35) and i take the generic, which is Microgestin 1/20 and all i paid was $10 with blue cross blue shield.

I went to the Migrogestin1/20 manufacturer's website (watson phamasueticals) and it looks like Brevicon is the closest thing to Ovcon 35 as KittyWitty has stated...then, i went to the walgreen's site for a price range and it looks like Brevicon has a generic form called Necon 0.5/35 (same mfg, weird) which is priced for about 27 bux.. and im pretty sure its covered under blue cross blue shield so u might end up paying only $10 or $15.

from what i understand, caremark is just like the prescription provider part of the insurance i have. im still under my moms insurance since im a student.
we have a separate card for it...
im kinda clueless on some of this stuff!
i think i might talk to my doctor and then figure out what similar pill is on my preferred drug list.
