should i wait to start the day 1 pill the Sunday after my period flows or should I st

I need your advice. My doctor is away on vacation so I've had to rely on pharmacists and friends for answers. Sadly, their answers are contradictory and I'm more confused than before. Hopefully someone here can enlighten me.

I've taken birth control pills before and always began as a Sunday starter. However, this time around, I'm not certain when I should start. My period always occurs regularly and should happen next week. One problem: I've started spotting since Wednesday, though very lightly and at times, like yesterday, hardly at all. Knowing this, should I consider spotting as the beginning of my period and start my b/c pills tomorrow? Or should I wait for my period to flow before starting the pills? I'm confused. All suggestions welcomed. Thank you.

id honestly wait to take the pill until you have had a regular period. i did what you are thinkin about doing. i took the pill on the sunday after i had weird spotting...and my period wasnt due till about a week either..well it ended up messing up my whole cycle and i had tons of breakthrough bleeding. id wait until a normal period.

If you know that your period isn't due, wait until next week when it is due.

I'd wait, like everyone else said.
It's better to wait and get your period over with so your next cycle is normal... then to start now and totally throw everything off later.
