Exclamation Taking Pill At Right Time?

I sort of haven't taken the pill at the same time on a regular basis yet. I have, but I always mess it up a few days later, so I haven't gotten my body completely used to it yet...

Me n' my boyfriend are havin sex without condoms... Pre *** and stuff makes me worry, because I haven't been smart with the pill...

It's just hard for me because I wake up at 7 in the morning to go to work, and that's when I usually take it...

BUT on weekends and stuff, I sleep in, so therefore I don't take it at 7 anymore. Is that really bad?...

Am I at risk of getting preg?

(I've been on it for about a month now)

As long as you take it within a few hour window, you should be fine. Granted, taking the pill at vaious hours isn't considered "perfect use," and the effectiveness is decrease a tiny bit. Perhaps you should consider a time that you're awake on all days of the week, like dinner time or at 9PM at night.

You didn't really clarify how you "mess it up," but as I stated, a few hours now and again is fine.

Re: Taking Pill At Right Time?

Taking the pill a few hours late every once in a while is okay as long as you don't make a habit. You will save yourself a lot of stress if you stick to a particular time.

You may want to consider changing the time you take your pill. I take it at 8:00 PM, that way if the pill makes me feel ill, I will have a chance to sleep through the side effects. Many people try to associate it with another daily activity such as eating lunch or brushing teeth before going to bed. My friend sets an alarm on her cell phone to remind her.

Re: Taking Pill At Right Time?

you should try to take it more at night i take mine at 8:00 i mean its simple and easy. i mean right in the mornin i wouldn't even be thinking about taking it so maybe you should start taking it at night i have for about 3-4 years and i did have sex with my bf with out a condem and never did get pregnant (knock on wood) but still maybe you should switch to nightly instead of morning
