Exclamation Help me please, My wife is sick, and I don't know what to do!

Hi, I'm a newly wed, and my wife just started taking the pill when we got married (2 weeks ago) we went on a trip to meet my family and she forgot her pills.

Now she is running a 104 fever, and she's got flu symptoms. She's nausias and she's been urinating frequently and she just had her period at the wrong time.

So I'm just trying to figure out what's going on and how much of this is side effects of the pill and maybe she's just got the summer flu.

To clarify she took the pills for a week and then took a week off, first she started the frequent urinating, then she was nausias with cramps, and now she's got full-blown flu like symptoms, and I'm clue-less.

We're both active duty air force, and If I can find our insurance papers we'll be going to the emergency room later today. A quick reply would help me so much. Thank you.

Signed,

Why did she take the pill only for 1 week and then 1 week off?

The symptoms sound more flu-like than from the pill, though. Nausea can be caused by the pill, but it's unlikely that it's causing fever, frequent urination, etc.

If the nausea is a side-effect of the pill, blackberries or blackberry juice/cider will help the nausea. Hope this helps!
