| Re: Anyone on or tried the "mini pill"?
Be VERY careful with your 'window' in which to take your pill. (You do NOT have as much leeway as with a combined pill...I believe it's like 3 hours.) Nor can you double up like a combined pill...so if you miss one refer to your packet as to handle the situation (back up for x amount of time)
I don't know exactly how true this is...talk to your doctor....but supposibly the generic versions have more 'slip ups'....I got pregnant on the mini pill and informed my OB of such...and that's what she told me......and now she will NOT authorize me to have any generic mini pill...so that's just my experience. I would honestly think if there was a huge flaw with it the FDA would not have approved it. I know the women in my family are super fertile LOL...so I probably just flirted with my time window and boom.
Periods, the mini pill is a continuous pill...so AF will pretty much rear her ugly head when she pleases. For me my period shows every 2 - 2 1/2 months.
But I LOOOOOOOOVE it other than more time between my periods, I have no side effects! Unlike all the combined pills...which I just can't tolerate....
