My other question is that a few days after my last period I began taking birth control pills again after not being on them for several months. I went off of them the first time due to side effects so I had my physician write me a presecription for a new brand. I did not start these pills on day 1 or a sunday start. I actually began taking them on the 8th day of my cycle. I have now taken 4 placebo pills and have yet to start my period. With my other brand I was like clock work. I always started on the 4th placebo pill. Could my not starting my period yet have anything to do with the new brand of birth control pills? |
If you've taken the pill perfectly, it's most likely that the new brand is causing the delay in your period. Many women do not get a period after their first cycle of a new brand. However, if you don't get your period when you're to start a new pack, take a pregnancy test.
