Exclamation Curious-Please answer!

{removed}Pregnancy related questions need to be asked on the appropriate board.~Modinatrix21

My other question is that a few days after my last period I began taking birth control pills again after not being on them for several months. I went off of them the first time due to side effects so I had my physician write me a presecription for a new brand. I did not start these pills on day 1 or a sunday start. I actually began taking them on the 8th day of my cycle. I have now taken 4 placebo pills and have yet to start my period. With my other brand I was like clock work. I always started on the 4th placebo pill. Could my not starting my period yet have anything to do with the new brand of birth control pills?

If you've taken the pill perfectly, it's most likely that the new brand is causing the delay in your period. Many women do not get a period after their first cycle of a new brand. However, if you don't get your period when you're to start a new pack, take a pregnancy test.

Re: Curious-Please answer!

I recieved my period this morning after taking the 6th inactive pill. I was not worried about pregnancy because I haven't been having sex. I just wanted to know if it was normal to not get a period on the first cycle of a new brand. Anyway, all is well.
