Increased hunger with "new" Ovcon-35? - Birth Control Message Board

Anyone else have this?? This is my second month into the "new look" Ovcon-35. It's supposed to be the same as the old one, just a change in the colors. However, lately I've really been hungry, eating 4 or 5 times or more a day. This is not like me at all. I just can't seem to satisfy this hunger. I had this with the old Ovcon, but it was only for a month then it stopped. I wonder what's going on?

BTW, I'm taking them correctly, so I'm not pregnant.

I don't think it's related to the new Ovcon. The pill in general might be increasing your appetite, as it's known to do that. But, I don't think the "new" Ovcon is to blame; it's just birth control in general.

But I haven't had this appetite increase since the third month, and then it only lasted for a short time and went back to normal. Now all of a sudden it's back? Why would this happen again when I've been on it for nine months?

I don't know. But if all that changed was the packaging/colors, and the hormones are the same, there's no way that it can be the "new" Ovcon. It's either something that would have happened anyway, or it's just psychosomatic (you're expecting a change, thus find one).
Something else in your life has to be blamed.

i didn't experience this....BUT...i had major complications right after starting this new pill. I had excessive bleeding, which i had not had while i was on the old look ovcon-35. i bled for 2 months straight until it got so bad i had to go to the ER. I had 7 cysts on my ovaries and free fluid in my uterus...so they put me on Ovcon-50 and i like it SO much better...but i have to go back to the 35 in 3 cycles
