My history: was on the pill for a year, but after three months I had gained 15 pounds that I am CONVINCED was associated with the pill, because once I got off of it, the pounds seriously melted away. Life was good. I was then told that the patch had less side-effects and could work better with me, so I tried it. Here I am, three months into it, and I am at another 10 pounds gained, despite my almost-daily exercise. It drives me crazy!!! So a few days ago, in anger, I ripped off my third-week patch on Tuesday, and began my period a few days early on Saturday, but my out-of-town boyfriend and I just planned a vacation together where I am pretty sure that my period will occur...If I ruled the world, i'd find a way to manipulate the patch so that I wouldn't have my period during our weekend, but I'd also find a way to only use it for one week so that I can begin to shed these 10 pounds that HAVE to be patch-generated. Does anyone have a magical solution? Or do I really just have to suck up the extra pounds and wait another month before taking myself off the patch? thanks
