misunderstood - Birth Control Message Board

I just started taking my birth control and well I guess I misunderstood my doctor and didnt take my 'off pills' because I thought that I couldn't take them till I actually started my cycle, so I skipped them and just started my next blue pills for the next month. Well , friday i started spotting or bleeding however you want to take that and the(spotting) still hasn't stopped. I know that this is normal especially when you first start bc, but is the spotting suppose to last this long??

It's common to spot when skipping the inactive tablets, especially if you're on a triphasic pill. It's likely that the spotting will continue until your period is due. Just be sure to take the pill as directed this time.
