Hi, Everyone . I have a dillema , my honeymoon is in january and just so happens to be the week my period is suppose to start, I dont want to skip my inactive pills because the last time that happened I was miserable for about a week and smelled worse than I ever have when I am on my cycle. Is it possible to not take one inactive pill one day and just take two the following day??? Please help. Im on ortho tri cyclen. Amy Thanks in advance.

The inactive pills are just sugar pills. So you could take all 7 and the would not effect you, or even not take the pills for one we and start the new pack, it would still be the same. They don't cause your period to come just are space fillers. The only way not to have a period would be to skip the active pills and start a new pack right away. I would ask your Dr, may he would be able to help with teh side effect or at least give advise.

I am sorry if I did not answer your question, I guess I am kinda confused to why you would take two inactive pills in one day? YOu could do it, but I am not sure to the purpose.

Can't you skip your inactice pills now, in december, so your period is a week earlier than your honeymoon? You can feel lousy, but at least it won't be during your honeymoon

You know I didnt think about that. The thing is I skipped novembers inactive pills and I am spotting and my doc said that I would spot till I got to this months inactive pills, so i dont want to skip dec. inactive because it will make me spot the entire month of jan. I am new to bc my first month on them was in nov. and i shouldnt have skipped those white pills otherwise I wouldnt be in this perdiciment. Thanks Amy
