Side Effects of Going off the Pill - Birth Control Message Board

I stopped taking Ortho Novum two weeks ago and my only side effect so far is tender breasts. Has anyone else had this problem? If my husband had not had a vesectomy, I would swear I am pregnant. I stopped the pill after about 18 years - I am desperately hoping my libido returns. But I am guessing it will take some time.

That's a common side effect on and going off BC. It should wearing off in a few weeks.

i had the same side effects, but when i started the pill. my pharmacist told me its just the hormones in the pill and to give your body a while to get use to them and the changing levels of hormones in your body. maybe you need to give it some time for the effects of your old BC to wear off? im sure it will be fine and it will wear off soon.
