Will be missing a couple days of birth control. What do i do? - Birth Control Message Board

Hi all... I'm 21. I've been on birth control since I was 17. I go to school a couple hours away from home. Well today (Sunday) I left to go back to school and once I got back to school, I realized that I left my birth control at home! stupid stupid! So my mom is gonna mail it to me but it won't get here til Tuesday. So my first question: are there any possibilities of a pregnancy? The last time I had sex was Friday (2 days ago).

Second question: How do I go about taking the pills when I get them on Tuesday? Do I take Sundays and Mondays pill as soon as I get them and then take Tuesdays that night?

as for pregnancy.. there could be a small chance.. it may depend on what part of the cycle you are in, what med you are on.. I wouldn't get sick over it though.
I don't know the brand you are on, so you may want to refer to the instruction packet that came with the pills. When I was on ortho, I remember the packet saying if you miss two days.. you take 2 days worth when you remember and then 2 days worth the day after (so take Sunday and Monday first thing when you get the package on Tuesday and then take Tuesday and Wednesday's pills at your normal time on Wednesday). This is probably so you aren't taking a large amount of hormones in one day.
