I recently got a shot of deprovera. I haven't stopped bleeding yet. Plus I'm quite concerned with the side effects that I have been reading about. Hornones in general scare me I'm considering trying a non-hormonal method. Has anyone tried the Today Sponge or the Protectaid sponge?
Have you had children? I used the Today Sponge after the birth of my 2nd child, thinking that I was protected. I was also nursing the baby. My third child was born 17.5 months after the second one. No one told me that the sponge only works if you have not had any children.
No I've never had children. Although the sponge has spermicide I wonder if a "backup" spermicide could be used in addtion. Or would that cause a reaction? Hmm..... I may have to contact the "sponge people."
Anyone used a sponge?
