Dumb Question about Birth Control - Birth Control Message Board

If I want to go on the pill, is it better for my OB/GYN to put me on or my normal every day doctor - or doesn't it really matter?

I've really never looked into it, but am thinking that I should go on it.

You really should have a full gynocological exam before going on the pill. Thus, a gyno would be the obvious best choice. But, if you're family doctor is willing to do a pelvic exam, etc, then you can consider him/her.

Im on the pill and i just went to a family doctor,i thought this was easier for me, but it is really up to you, i dont think it makes a difference.
