Major cramps and light pink blood while on BC - Birth Control Message Board

This is the third month I'm taking Alesse bc pills. I'm on my active pills right now. I am experiencing cramps for 6 days now. And sometimes I see some very light colored blood (pink) when I wipe. Is this normal? I called the doctor's office last week regarding the cramps. And the nurse told me that my body is starting to adjust to the bc pills now. But it's already my third month on them. Shouldn't my body adjust earlier? How come all this is just beginning to happen now?

I was on Alesse and was fine until my third month as well, which was when everything started to freak out. Horrible cramps and spotting, then heavy bleeding, etc. I switched to Nuvaring and have been fine since. So from experience, yes, your body could still be adjusting to it.

Dont worry. it IS normal! :-) actually your body really doesnt start to adjust till the 3rd month. I was also spotting on my 3rd and 4th months but then it went away!
