yaz and bleeding for 31 days - Birth Control Message Board

I was put on yaz because my periods were messed up she thought this would regulate them. I was given something to jump start my period and was told the day I started bleeding to start the yaz. Well I finally got my period started taking the yaz and now I am going on 31 days of bleeding. I talked to gyno a week and a half ago and was told it was break threw bleeding but come on!!! I just want it to stop!!! Has anone had anything like this happen to them?

If you have been bleeding for 31 days, you definitely need another birth control pill. I recommend Ovcon 35. Call your doctor and ask for samples.

Star you need to join us on the main Yaz board. If your periods were messed up where you weren't having them, then it is possible that the endometrial lining was really built up. That is what happened to me. I was on Cryselle and had just finished my period the day of my last appt. B/C of bad side effects with Cryselle my Dr. switched me to Yaz immed. I started bleeding again that night and although it has greatly slowed down and stops for several hours at a time now, I am still bleeding. I am on day 19 now. If you count the period before I started Yaz that is 26 days. Some others have just experience light/continual spotting, some have had very long periods, that just won't quit yet.
