for those who started bc after giving birth.. - Birth Control Message Board

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me out..i just had a c-section 2 1/2 weeks ago and i started the birth control pill today.. im still bleeding from the c-section but my doc. said something about the pill is going to make it stop..i dont know if thats true and how that would work since im not bleeding from a period... i have no idea what to expect while taking this, ive never been on birth control and i dont know what kinda changes to expect..if anyone could help me, id greatly appreciate it!! Thanks a bunch!

I gave birth 7.5 weeks ago and i was told not to start any bc method until my first period comes.

i had a c-section. I am still waiting for my period to start

Ditto---my ds is almost 6 weeks old--I had a vaginal birth and not on BC---still waiting for my period to come.

I thought you were supposed to wait til ur first period came too..but my doc. started me on 2 weeks after delivery for some reason..i guess its going to make my body all out of whack for a while
