no period yet...please help! - Birth Control Message Board

what am i going to do? it is now Wednesday in my inactive pill week and I still don;t have my period. I have been slightly spotting since yesterday though. Is that normal? because it is not normal for me.

I have been on momphasic pills for almost a year now and always take my pills at the same time every morning. I have not missed any pills and have not been sick or anything either.
Usually, every month I willstart spotting on Tueday but by Wednesday morning I will have a very heavy flow that lasts throughout the rest of my inactive pills.
Now this month there is only spotting. But i do have normal cramps as well and I feel just like I normally do when I have my period.
This is so confusing and frightening. I wonder if i should buy a hpt but not sure if it would just be a waste of money.
I have read that when you're on bcp's even the slightest spotting during the inactive pills can be considered your normal period. Has anyine else heard this?

even though nobody replied to my original message I'll continue this thread. I still have no period on Thursday of my inactive pills so I tool a hpt this morning with my first urine.
Thank goodness it was negative.

I should be OK, but I plan to call my gyn today to see what he thinks

me again. just thought I would post that I spoke with the nurse at my gyn's office and she told me I am perfectly fine.

Since I took every active pills right on time and had no problems with vomitting or diraherra or anything like that, and I was not on any other medciations what so ever I am perfectly protected.

She also said the little bit of spotting I had during the inactive pills is another good indication that I'm definelty not pregnant.

Apparently I was correct in my first post when I stated that any bleeding at all in your inactive pills can be considered your actual period. Assuming of course that all active pills were taken correctly.

I just wanted to post this fir anyone's future refernce. Thanks
