Weight Gain on Yasmin - Am I the Only One?? - Birth Control Message Board

I know that yasmin contains a diuretic and most people lose weight on it, but it has been the opposite for me. I have actually gained 12 lbs in the 3 months of being on this pill. My appetite increased considerably and it literally makes me feel more bloated. Am I the only one?

You are not the only one! I gained 7 pounds in 2 months and had horribly sore breasts. I stayed on it for 6 months, and luckily I didn't gain more weight, but I grew a whole cup size. I am now on Cryselle and so far I am feeling much better.

You are by far not the only one, I have been on it since February and have since gained weight, a few pounds but that biggest problem is the bloated feeling all the time. I most definately know what you are talking about.

you're definately not alone. I gained so much weight it wasn't even funny. of course i'm sure just starting college didn't help either. I stopped the pill for a while and now that i've started it up again, i've been losing weight. Go figure. lol
