How long after starting the pill, if you decide to have unprotected sex, are you 99% protected from getting pregnant?

The instructions that came with your pills should expain it. Basically, if you start the pill the first day of your period, you're protected right away. However, if you start taking it the Sunday after your period starts, then you have to use backup for the first 7 days and after that you should be protected. This is, of course, assuming you're taking them correctly, every day and on time.

Ok well heres the deal. Ive been on the pill for 3 days now and last night me and my significant other didnt use protection. I had my last period ending on monday and it is now thursday. Is there a chance I could be pregnant?
