Question What's best???

Hey everyone...I'm kinda new to this so please be patient with me. Over the last year I've been having terrible ovulation pain. I've had check-ups and everything is normal. I thought maybe if I go on some sort of birth control it would help. Can anyone give me some idea on what would be best for my problem? Thanks.

Is your ovulation pain you are referring to caused by cramps? I've heard/read a variety of woman's BC having helped reduce their cramps. I'm on Yasmin and my cramps are practically non-existant, especially not to the extent that I used to experience them. Now I have very mild discomfort that last for a couple seconds before it fades away. I get that one, maybe two days before/during my period, and very minimally throughout the day.

If your pain is caused by something other than cramps, then I suggest talking to your doctor. But generally most BC pills are suppose to reduce cramping.

Good luck!

If it is ovulation pain you are experiencing, a bcp could help a lot, because it will prevent you from ovulating at all. Talk to your dr about which pill would be right for you.

Re: What's best???

Thanks for your replies! No I'm not getting the pain from cramps because the pains I'm getting are after my period and is accompanied by what I call egg white ooze. Not nice, I know, but there it is. I will definately contact my dr. for suggestions on what is best to take.
Regards, Stacy
