Alesse to Yasmin advice - Birth Control Message Board

Hi There,

I am looking for feedback from people who have been on either Alesse or Yasmin. I've been on Alesse for quite some time and I am thinking about switching to Yasmin. I have NO sex drive, feel very moody, and wonder if some of my weight gain might be due to the Alesse. However, I also get migraines and worry that Yasmin could make those worse. Any thoughts?

I was on Alesse for 2 years and it was great as far as my skin and my sex drive but I gained like 25 lbs. while I was on it! I know some of it was my fault but even when I started excercising really hard to get the weight off it wouldn't budge! So I got off for about 3-4 months and lost all the weight. Then when I decided to get back on the pill I got on Yasmin. I have been on it for about 2 years now. No weight gain which I love and no headaches hardly ever. Oh and one of my friends who had migraines alot took it too and she didn't get migraines anymore.
