Bleeding? - Birth Control Message Board

I have been on othotrycyclin lo for 6 months and last week I started bleeding. It was only a week after my regular period and lasted just as long. It was also the same flow. Should I be worried? Should I keep taking my pills the same or start a new pack?

You're OK, just keep taking the pills. You're protected during intercourse. BTW, ortho-lo is infamous for causing breakthrough bleeding like you're having. Mine started too at about 6 months on it, then I was bleeding 3 weeks of every month. If it keeps up or gets annoying, you might need to call your doc and see about switching pills.

Thankyou so much. I was worried because I had a medical abortion before starting the pills.
