on pill...when to do a pregnancy test - Birth Control Message Board

Hi guys

Need some imput please, I am on micronor 28 day minipill (its the same dose for the whole month no inactive pills. I should have got af between friday and sun (had a tiny brown spot a few times mixed with cm, but other than that no af. Its now 2-4 days after when I should get it, Im wondering how long I should wait to do a pregnancy test, I dont want to waste money on a test but Im still taking the pill and dont want to wait to long in case I am , I dont want to harm the baby. Please advise

You could do a pregnancy test now, but I wouldn't be too concerned. From what I have read, the minipill often causes women to not have periods or just spot while on it especially if the whole month has no inactive pills. The minipill is less effective at preventing pregnancy, so if you wanted to take a pregnancy test, I think it should be accurate.
