Nausea during week off NuvaRing - Birth Control Message Board

I have been on the NuvaRing for about 4 or 5 months and this month I took my ring out on Sunday for my week free to have my period. Today, I was in physical therapy for a car accident I was in and I was doing different exercises and all of a sudden I got very sweaty and nauseous and felt like I was going to throw up/pass out. I ate breakfast about a hour before doing the exercises. I am wondering if this is related to the drop in hormones during this week off the NuvaRing. Anyone have a ideas?

I was on the nuva ring for a year and I never experienced any nausea at all, even when I quit it completely. Maybe it's just how it affected you but my guess is that the nausea is due to something else. I'm pretty sure that the hormones in the nuva ring just affect your reproductive organs. I know it doesn't pass through your blood stream like other pills so it has less of an effect on other parts of your body.
