Yasmin pill discolored? - Birth Control Message Board

Okay for anyone who doesnt know...21 of yasmins pills are yellow and 7 placebos are white. When i took my pill today...it looked completely normal when i popped it out of the package..but then the back of the pill was white...like a placebo..so half the pill was yellow and half was white.
but it was an active pill. like the 5th one...
so has this ever happened to anyone and what should i think/do?

Call the pharmacist! Those are the type of questions they answer all the time! The phone number should be on the label. Call and ask specifically to speak to the pharmacist.

Ok well i did just that, and he really was no help. He just said continue to take that pill and all others as i normally do. I really think he must of been stumped. He surely sounded like it. I guess for 7 days i will use extra protection...since im really not sure what that pill was.

Whenever I call the pharmacy, if I can't get a good answer from one, then I call around to several different pharmacies until I get an answer that is acceptable.

If you feel like he wasn't much help, then I think you should keep calling around. Because actually, the pharmacist would know more than the doctor, since pharmacists work specifically with drugs and doctors only really know what they do.
