Hi all!

I realize that BC effects woman differently but I am really worried after reading through some of these posts....I have tried the tricyclinlow(?) and felt really sick so quit after a few weeks. I told my doctor that I needed a pill that was easy on my stomach and would help with adult acne and he suggested Loestrin24. It's only been a week but the side effects are starting. I feel nausous all day. I have had to take Aleve for a headache 3 times this week and I am really sleepy. I have napped everyday this week... I normally dont take naps during the day. I feel a little "out of it" as well. Im wondering if someone else experienced any of this and stuck it out. I am willing to put up with it if it subsides.... I am nervous about the weight gain, as I am already feeling really bloated....HELP!! Thx in advance!

Any BCP pill you take you should stay on for 3 months before you will know for sure how your body will react to it. It takes 3 months for the body to adapt to the hormones in the pill. Bouncing from pill to pill can make you feel awful. Since you switched from one to another now your body has to adjust to from the other hormones and get use to the Loestrin hormones. Switching to another type soon will cause you more discomfort. If in 3 months this one does not work then I'd switch.

On Desogen I had a hard time sleeping had migraines, lost lots of hair. On Mircette I had the same, Ovcon 35 I slept like a baby but gained weight with no migraines. Loesrtin 24 FE gained more weight no migraines started to get acne last month really bad, stopped having my periods and sleep better. I am not stressed at all on this pill. No mood sings what so ever. I stopped loosing hair and I am very nice except when I look in the mirror and see all the weight I have gained then I get angry.

Everyone is so different, it just amazes me what all the diff Pills do to people.

Loestrin is the only one I've tried with no weight gain. But I don't know that I sleep that much better on it. Levora is another mild one for me but on that one I do gain a bit of weight. There's so many different ones to choose from, surely you will find the right one if you stick with it all.

Many women exp migraines from not enough estrogen when it drops in the cycle. You must be sensitive to estrogen or the progesterone or both. Do give it enough time to work itself out, though.

Quick update....

I have been on Loestrin24 for 2 weeks and 2 days today (to many). I am stopping today as well... Not to freak any one out but for me, since day 2 I have been really sick to my stomach. I have been overly exhausted, even getting a coffee mid day just to get through the evening. I was dizzy for the frist couple of days, that went away but now I feel super emotional. I have had headachs, been crying, arguing with my boyfriend, snapping at others....I feel like I am on the verge of a break down.... I really tried sticking it out through the end of the pack but I am not going to make it. I wake up in the morning still tired and my sleep is restless.... It is so weird... I feel completely out of my eliment. I am nervious about how stopping the pill 2 weeks in will affect my body.....??? Anyone know?
