Yaz and lonnng periods - Birth Control Message Board

I've been on yaz for almost a year now and my periods last for 6-7 days, heavy in the beginning and then spotting on and off. Anyone else have this happen?

How were you periods before getting on BCP? 5-6 days is normal for me. Some months very heavy some are normal but I always have spotted.

Now that I am on Loestrin FE 24 I don't bleed at all but I'm about to fix that cause I have 4 pills left and this is my last month on them. Switching to another brand next month. Bleeding has never bothered me.

Hello ~ I have the same issue with Yaz. When not on the pill, my period will last about 4-5 days (heavy the first 2 and then light days 3-4 with very little spotting on day 5. Since I've been on Yaz, my periods last 9-10 days!!! Usually it will stay heavy for about 4-5 days and then the remaining time will be light. It's very annoying.
