| Re: How long?
You would be surprised. I'm not sure how long had been on the pill initially, but it can take from 6-12 months for your body to fully be rid of the fake hormones.
The thing that most people don't understand about the pill is that the chemical properties bind to your cells at a microscopic level, and a lot of it is stored in your body fat. It takes a really long time to detox from it, as a result. Many of the withdrawal symptoms take a long time to get over.
The tiredness is most likely due to the fact that the pill depletes your body's natural store of vitamins and essential nutrients. For mood problems and energy problems, it's really crucial to supplement with a B-Complex vitamin to help your body feel better while you're coming off the pill. Some other essential supplements include Magnesium and Omega 3-6. If you're already taking an Evening primrose oil supplement that you don't really need the extra omega 3-6.
You just need to give your body time. That's the only thing that will help get rid of your withdrawal. The Pill is serious stuff, it takes more than just a couple of months to get rid of the effects.
