Starting the next pack late? - Birth Control Message Board

Help!! another question - this one is urgent... I have my perscrip meds mailed to me, but I put in for the pill late, & it will not get here until at least two day safter my current pack is done.. if i start right away...will it still work?? When would it not work (after 1 day, 2..) ?

Should I just try to get it from my local pharmacy?

You have to use backup for at least 7 days if you miss more than one pill. If you miss 1 pill take it as soon as you get it and take the next one at your regular time. If you miss 2 pills in your first week take 2 pills theday you get them and 2 pills the next day. Then take 1 pill daily till you finish the pack. You will need to use back up for 7 days.

EDIT: I don't think you can pick up a pack at your drug store with out a script. Maybe if their computers are linked to where you get them from there's a chance.
