going back on after being off for 2 months... - Birth Control Message Board

I was on Orthotricyclen lo for about 4 yrs. My bf is cut so i dont have to worry about getting pregnant. That being said i wanted to stop taking birth control cuz i was sick of having to remember to take it. Well after the first month, i got my period like normal. 3 weeks after that i had light brown spotting for a day. its now been 4-5 weeks since my last period since ive bled or had anything other than that spotting. I had acne while on OTC-lo and it seems like it may have gotten worse. Im on the anit-male hormone right now for my acne but it doesnt seem to be helping. Ive also had bad depression, but still do(time for a therapist!!) and never thought to link it to BC. Anyway, i kind of wanted to go back on the pill just to see if my wkin would get better being on BC as well as the anti-male hormone pills. Anyone know anything about that? I was waiting to get my period again so i could start as soon i finished but it hasnt come yet and from the sounds of it thats normal. so if it doesnt come can i just start the pills this sunday or do i have to actually wait until after i get my period? im sick of waiting(not that i dont enjoy not having my period) i just want my ******* skin to clear up.

Well this is my question also. I had gone off the pill because I was considering the paraguard iud but might not due to the cost right now. I want to go back on the pill but my period hasn't come yet. I have had cramps for two weeks. I think the first ones were due to ovulation and now i am gearing up to get my period but still havent seen red grrrrrrrrrrrr. Now my nipples are very sore so I hope it isn't too long. I would just like to start them if possible. I have heard you can skip the placebo pills when taking them so why cant we just start them and wait a month.
